“Red tails” Tuskegee Airmen is opening January 20, 2012.
This movie is a must see for me because of my interest in aircraft, and most things World War Two. Well it would be, but I don’t usually like the work of George Lucas. Not sure I can ever forgive him taking a story, from a long time ago, in galaxy far, far away, and adding cheesy computer creatures and effects. For me, this was tantamount to Leonardo giving Monas Lisa sparkle, because Leo got his hands on some glitter glue technology. However, George has redeemed himself getting this movie to the public. This film depicts black war heroes, fighting for freedom and their country, based on the true story of the Tuskegee airmen. Pilots, who went above and beyond duty, at a time the myopic country they fought for, would not see beyond skin color. Now with a little more eye surgery, courtesy of George, we live in a country where a movie is not released on the color of its actors, but on whether it is worth watching.
